lifeandprideThis is how you can get in touch with me when other methods fail. Preferably this is for plotting, or unfinished threads etc.
This is not an HMD post. If you have a problem with my characterization please contact a mod.

-Basic Stats: [6'2 (187cm), 158lbs (72kg), Brown eyes (anime) (Green eyes is the manga coloring, but I will be going with brown.), White hair - turned white due to his illness, when he was a child. Over 2000 years old. Not specified other than that. ]
-Ukitake's given name (十四郎) can be spelled several ways. I chose the way I was taught to transliterate it while taking 3 years of Japanese language classes. I don't mind if you spell it another acceptable way that is comfortable for you. In roman letters these include Juushirou, Jushiro, Jyuushirou, and Jūshirō among others. It literally means 14th son, by the way.
-He comes from lower nobility, and has 5 younger brothers and 2 younger sisters, whom have never been referenced other than in informational stats.
Ukitake's Illness:
Since it's come up, and people are confused, here's some handy little info...
Ukitake is a shinigami, and shinigami are basically just souls, or 'dead' people (albiet with some awesome powers.) There is conflicting information about how shinigami or dead souls can or cannot get sick in the first place, but Ukitake is part of a 'lucky' few. (Or be born, but that's another story)
In short, it looks like tuberculosis. However, there is no evidence that it is contagious, and it is never referred to as TB in canon.
Symptoms include: Fever, coughing, coughing up blood, chest pain, weakness, sweating (pretty much typical TB symptoms)
An outbreak of his illness comes and goes, but he has a generally 'poor constitution' at all times. It can be exacerbated by physical or mental stress.
Until further information is revealed about his illness, I will be treating it as:
A) not contagious
B) incurable
C) medically ambiguous
D) usually self-resolving with rest
Other useful info:
- I am not interested in playing a pairing with this character at the current time, canon mate or other. (This has the potential to change, please contact me if you are considering it.)
- My time zone is GMT + 1 (so I may be sleeping when you're ready to play!)
- American English is my first language.
